Birds Creek review

Birds Creek review

By far my favorite campsite, I do miss running water, electricity, and the ability to reach out to girlfriend (sorry I just really miss her the longer I’m away on this trip) but the grounds here were phenomenal. We finally got to do some real camping; we’re in the middle of the woods with no service.

Atmosphere/vibe

I love the trees here I really feel so at peace here. The running water and the trees’ cool shade on these warm summer days feel so nice and it really reminds me of the simplicity of things. Theres so many cool things to see here from the stream, the trees, animal tracks/droppings (I just think it’s cool that they were here), and some interesting structures across the stream from us that still kind of spook me but they were cool to see.

Wildlife

Unfortunately, there is not as much wildlife as id want to see out here, I saw ting fish in the stream while soaking my hair one morning and I saw a deer at camp the day we left to Mount Adams. I found a half-eaten bird and the animal bones so that tells me we definitely have a large predator around that has to be agile enough to catch it, and it was a big bird carcass so the birds out here are definitely big enough to catch fish also confirming that there must be more fish nearby.

Tranquility

Maybe this place wasn’t for everyone, I saw some embrace it more than others, but I know for a fact that me, Gavin, Lovey, and even Judy to an extent were all embracing the new area. We all kind of found places that resonated with us and would frequently visit. I saved this place’s gps location and will be revisiting this location hopefully next month if not for a weekend while it’s still warm with some friends or loved ones.

I will miss this campsite as it was by far my favorite, and I will definitely be returning soon.
